Art Department News

The high school art department invites parents of art students who may have an interest in pursuing secondary education in the field of visual art to a informtaional meeting on Wednesday, October 7 at 7PM in the high school art suite. At this time, we will share with you suggestions about how, where, and when to apply, and to answer any and all questions/concerns that you may have. Please call the Fine Arts office if you plan to attend (382-1208).

The high school art department will be holding a meeting on November 3 from 6:30-7:30 PM in room A3 for parents and students who will be taking Drawing and Painting II second semester. Through the University in the High School program of the State University of New York, students will have the opportunity, if they choose, to receive not only high school, but also college credit for the course. Mr. Damian Croucher (teacher of the course) and Ms. Sandra Gonzales (director of the UHS program) will be there to share information and materials as well as answer any and all questions that you may have. A student must be at least a sophmore to receive the UHS credit.
