The following students art work was featured in the NYSATA (New York State Art Teachers' Association) newsletter:

Kacey Smith who was a third grader at Lincoln titled "Miro's Giraffe-a-potamus" is a student of Mrs. Adrienne Hall and Emily Clute former senior (graduate) of SGHS titled "Medusa" was a student of Mrs. Stephani DeCocco. Congratulations!

Students who are taking Drawing and Painting II second semester will have an opportunity, if they choose to receive not only high school credit, but also college credit for the course. Through the University in the High School program of the State University of New York, Mr. Damian Croucher has been approved to teach this class. There will be an informational meeting with details of the UHS program with Mr. Croucher and Ms. Sandra Gonzales, director of the UHS program for SCCC on November 17 from 6:30-7:30 in the high school A3 art room. PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF DATE.

The Village of Scotia had asked high school students to help design a new seal for the Village of Scotia. If you go to the www. villageofscotia.org web site you can find the designs created by our students. From the site you can send your comments about the seal. One of the seals will be selected as the new design for the Village of Scotia. Thanks to our students for the wonderful designs.
