THE MIKE MORTENSEN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD Ð $250.00 - Open to the senior who will attend a 4 year college and will participate in inter-collegiate athletics in at least the Division III Level and who has a GPA of 85% or higher.  Kevin Frame

 

THE SHANNON TAMUL MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $100.00 - To a graduating cheerleader who has demonstrated leadership, enthusiasm, kindness and compassion for others, and dedication to school and community.  Renee Glass

LESLIE KENNEY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD - $l, 500.00 - Open to a senior planning teaching as a career who has demonstrated leadership qualities, character, and personality suitable for the profession.  Presented by the Scotia-Glenville TeachersÕ Association.  Kyle Goyette

THE LAURENCE RAINEY SCHOLARSHIP AWARD - $500.00 Ð Presented to a deserving senior in an area high school who is intending to pursue a career in Social Studies education.  Laurence Rainey was a long time Academic Head of the Social Studies Department, a renaissance man; a true friend and colleague.  The award is given by the Capital District Council for Social Studies.  Joseph Hlat

 

THE DOUG MCMANUS MEMORIAL AWARD Ð$200.00Ð Presented to graduating seniors who were track athletes.  The students must possess the following qualities; perseverance, dedication, studious, dependable, hard working, considerate of others and someone who has successfully met many of lifeÕs challenges.  Donated by Doug McManus, Jr. and Gene Stemm (former student and member of S-G Hall of Fame).  James Mallia

 

THE GARY CHRISTOPHER SMITH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP - $250.00 Ð To a senior who graduated from Glendaal Elementary School.  The student should have good scholastic achievement and been very involved in athletics and student affairs.  The recipient should be a person who is respectful of others, is a team player, and is one who has a good sense of humor and has a balanced perspective on life.  James Mallia

 

THE GLENVILLE HILL VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY SCHOLARSHIP - $250.00 Ð Open to a resident in the Glenville Hill Fire District #8 who has demonstrated positive qualities as a volunteer in the community and school, who has shown integrity, leadership qualities, concern for others, and the ability to work harmoniously with individuals.  Emily Taft

 

DIGNITY FOR ALL AWARD - $500.00  - Open to a senior in recognition of his or her work to create an atmosphere in which gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender students and their straight allies may obtain an education free from discrimination, harassment, violence and abuse.  Michelle Potter
