S-G Pipe Band to hold Open House on Sept. 30 at the Middle School;
pipe band finishes third in Worlds competition in Scotland

The Scotia-Glenville Pipe Band placed third (Juvenile - under 18 category) in the World Pipe Band Championship in Scotland in August against bands from Scotland, Canada and the US.

The band had competed in two events prior to that championship and had finished first and third.

Additionally, they performed in concert at the Piping Live festival in Glasgow, Scotland.

The band has become well known and recognized throughout the pipe band community for their successes including a third place finish at The World's in 2007.

The band, which attracts players from across the Capital District, will host an Open House on Wednesday, September 30 at 7 p.m. at the Middle School Sixth Grade Gathering Space.
