SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the agreement between the Scotia-Glenville Central School District and qualifying Outside Agencies to utilize district owned buses on a request basis, as submitted.
8. Resolution: Annual Organizational Meeting
Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education adopt the following Resolution:
Resolved that the Annual Organizational Meeting of the Board of Education of the Scotia-Glenville Central School District for the 2008-2009 school year be held on July 14, 2008, beginning at 7:00 PM in the Middle School in said District.
9. Appoint Committee on Special Education (CSE)
SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education appoint the list of members to the Committee on Special Education for the 2008-2009 school year, as submitted.
10. Appoint Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE)
SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education appoint the list of members to the Committee on Preschool Special Education for the 2008-2009 school year, as submitted.
11. Communications
a. Superintendent's Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Jessica Donnelly, Science Teacher (Biology) (Senior High School), effective c.o.b. June 30, 2008, with appreciation for her service to the district.
b. SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation of Ralph Caruso, School Monitor (Lincoln Elementary School), effective c.o.b. June 25, 2008, with appreciation for his service to the district.
c. SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education accept the letter of resignation for retirement purposes of Susan Campbell, Art Teacher (Senior High School/Middle School), effective c.o.b. December 31, 2008, with appreciation for her service to the district.
12. Advanced Therapy: Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy Services
SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the Agreement for Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy services with Advanced Therapy for the 2007-2008 summer school session, as submitted.

1) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That Mark McCarthy, provisionally certified as a School Administrator/Supervisor, be granted tenure as Academic Head for Mathematics, effective July 1, 2008.
2) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That Thomas W. Eagan, permanently certified as School District Administrator, be granted tenure as Elementary Principal, effective July 1, 2008.
3) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That Regan Burns, permanently certified as an Elementary Teacher, be granted tenure as an Elementary Teacher, effective September 1, 2008.
4) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That Theresa Carr, initially certified as a Business and Marketing Teacher, be granted tenure as a Business Education Teacher, effective September 1, 2008.

1) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Janet L. Cetnar as Business Education Teacher (Senior High School), effective September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2009, with 2008-2009 salary to be at Step 11 +M + 2 ½ when teachersÕ salaries for 2008-2009 are set. Ms. Cetnar has permanent certification.
2) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Tana L. Case as Elementary Teacher (Glendaal Elementary School), effective September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2010, with 2008-2009 salary to be at Step 5 +M +18 when teachersÕ salaries for 2008-2009 are set. Ms. Case has conditional initial certification.
3) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Molly M. Irvine as a Teacher of Children with Handicapping Conditions (General Special Education Tenure Area) (Middle School), effective September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2010, with 2008-2009 salary to be at Step 5 +M + 43 when teachersÕ salaries for 2008-2009 are set. Ms. Irvine has initial certification.
4) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Jill Tyler as Social Studies Teacher (Senior High School), effective September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2011, with 2008-2009 salary to be at Step 1 +M +23 (1/3) when teachersÕ salaries for 2008-2009 are set. Ms. Tyler has initial certification in process.
5) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Bridget A. Crowley as Elementary Teacher (Lincoln Elementary School), effective September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2011, with 2008-2009 salary to be at Step 1 +18 when teachersÕ salaries for 2008-2009 are set. Ms. Crowley has initial certification.
6) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Annette M. Boland as Elementary Teacher (Glendaal Elementary School, effective September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2011, with 2008-2009 salary to be at Step 2 +M when teachersÕ salaries for 2008-2009 are set. Ms. Boland has initial certification.
7) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education approve the probationary appointment of Katherine Jahn as Foreign Language Teacher (Spanish) (Districtwide), effective September 1, 2008 through August 31, 2011, with 2008-2009 salary to be at Step 2 +M +10 when teachersÕ salaries for 2008-2009 are set. Ms. Jahn has initial certification.
8) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education terminate the provisional appointment of Janice Balch as Executive Secretary II (District Office), and grant her a probationary appointment to the same position, in accordance with Civil Service regulations, effective June 17, 2008, with no change in 2007-2008 per annum salary.
9) SuperintendentÕs Recommendation: That the Board of Education terminate the temporary appointment of Cynthia A. Dorazio as Executive Secretary I (Guidance Office) (Senior High School), and grant her a probationary appointment to the same position, in accordance with Civil Service regulations, effective June 17, 2008, with no change in 2007-2008 per annum salary.
